I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was doing a treasure / trash the dress shoot. This is modelled by my beautiful wife and is a two year wedding anniversary present to her. Thanks honey!
 
We picked a beautiful day for it however, this has unfortunate side affects! It may surprise some of you to know that a cloudy day is the best weather for photography, this is because the light is diffused by the cloud and doesn’t create harsh shadows on your subject.
I got around it though, I made use of using the sun as a sidelight and a large reflector to bounce the light back onto my models face thus softening the harshness of the sun.
